WSU’s University Center for Innovation provides technical assistance and applied research to new businesses and those who have great ideas and would like to become the region’s newest businesses.

The Center works with WSU faculty, staff, and students to develop new ideas. The Center also works with individuals and businesses from the community and the state of Washington who wish to take new ideas forward. Currently, we serve clients from the West Side, Vancouver area, and Eastern Washington.

The University Center is funded by the Economic Development Administration with a matching contribution from WSU Spokane. Director Michael Ebinger also is the WSU Spokane contact for the WSU Office of Commercialization.

As the only accelerator in the Eastern Washington region, Ignite Northwest (located within the University Center for Innovation) serves a wide range of technology related enterprises, with an emphasis on the agricultural technologies, advanced material, information and communication, bioscience technologies, energy innovation and aerospace fields.  Learn more.
