Greetings from Saranac Art Projects!

We are excited to announce our exhibition lineup for October! On one side of the gallery, Julie Gautier-Downes will be showing "Dioramas of Disaster" and in our other gallery space, member Bradd Skubinna will be exhibiting with invited artist, Wendy Franklund Miller.

First Friday, October 5 from 5PM - 8PM is the official opening date of the shows!

Dioramas of Disaster – Julie Gautier-Downes

During residencies at AIR Studio Paducah and the Vermont Studio Center in 2017, Julie Gautier-Downes began a series of miniature installations, which occupy smaller footprints than her previous, life-sized works. In Dioramas of Disaster, Gautier-Downes repurposed and assembled dollhouses, toys, and created objects to construct dioramas, which communicate narratives about domestic violence, trauma, the fragility of relationships. This work combines her experience working with found objects and abandoned homes with the symbolic significance of child's play and early experiences as a foundation for future relationships.

Wendy Franklund Miller & Bradd Skubinna

Wendy Franklund Miller will be showing new, old, and reconfigured work in this exhibit. Wendy will exhibit collage/paintings, photographs, and objects. Bradd Skubinna will exhibit new colored pencil on paper drawings.

The gallery is open to the public Thursdays 2-6 pm, Fridays and Saturdays 12-8 pm
