Sharing Innovation Livestream - Oct 4

Thursday, October 4, 2018

I’m reaching out to you because all of us are investing in co-working/community spaces around Spokane. I’ve always thought that it would be great for the folks organizing shared spaces to get together and build a supportive group of colleagues, and I think I have the perfect incentive for a first gathering.

Last year Summer Hess and I attended a conference in Denver, hosted by the Nonprofit Centers Network (NCN), called Sharing Innovation, and we found it to be incredibly useful (though I can’t say they solved the question of the ages: how do you get folks to unload the dishwasher?). We discussed how shared spaces all over the country operate and grow, from universities to small businesses, government, business districts, nonprofits, and co-working spaces. Topics included funding, scheduling, design, technology, green building, staffing, collaboration, messaging, and security.

So, I’m inviting you to attend the livestream of this year’s Sharing Innovation Conference. We will host it at Niche Co-working, which is located on the 3rd floor of the Saranac Building (25 W. Main). The livestream part will be from 9-3:30 on Thursday, Oct. 4. After the conference, we can migrate to Black Label Brewing Company to chat about our take-aways at a happy hour from 3:30-4:30. Check out this link for more information about this year’s conference. If you are interested in attending all or part of the event, or if you know someone I’ve missed who should be invited, or finally, if you have any questions, please let me know!

We look forward to hearing from you!
