Double Dose- Louise Kodis and Chemyn Kodis

Louise Kodis, well known for her textile art installations, has taken a side road to paper and paste. She is delving into her large collection of imported papers, vintage magazines and handmade papers to embellish the painting of her daughter Chemyn. Louise has been cutting and pasting paper since she was six. Chemyn has been painting delightful narratives since she was six. They both have had plenty of time since to hone their skills. Now they have combined their mediums in twenty 12” x 12” collaborative works on canvas. Previously they worked together for a decade constructing Louse’s 2 and 3-dimensional textile art works.

Working With  ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ - Remelisa Cullitan

Name five artists. Now name five women artists. With this series, Remelisa Cullitan looks to reference women artists of today and from history. Cullitan is aiming to use this series as a visual works cited to highlight these under-remembered/represented masters of their disciplines and give credit where credit is due.

Hope to see you at the gallery!
