Spokane International Film Festival - Feb 2-9

Friday, February 9, 2018

The Spokane International Film Festival is an intimate festival where filmmakers and audiences engage the art of cinema. Matthew Modine (Jesus was a Commie, SpIFF 2012), Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, SpIFF 2011), and Sherman Alexie (The Business of Fancydancing, SpIFF 2002) have all participated in SpIFF. We offer a small, selective offering of world-class films. These are the very best features, documentaries and shorts that have been made around the world during the past year but have not yet been commercially released for wide distribution. SpIFF hosts a variety of parties, events and filmmaker panels that are open to the public and encourage lively and educational interactions between filmmakers and our audiences.

SpIFF takes place in the heart of Spokane, WA. Set in scenically beautiful eastern Washington, where sunshine and fresh air are abundant, Spokane is a hip and vibrant urban center that is the state’s second largest city. SpIFF screenings and events take place at multiple venues across downtown.

The festival is overseen by its parent, the Contemporary Arts Alliance of Spokane, with an active Board of Directors and generous financial support from a variety of local and regional underwriters.
