The EWU President’s Forum for Critical Thought brings nationally known writers, scientists, and other speakers to Spokane and Cheney.
This month we host Dr. Michael Shermer, science writer and author of New York Times bestseller, The Believing Brain. His book explores how beliefs are born, formed, reinforced, challenged, changed, and extinguished.
Dr. Shermer is also the producer and co-host of the 13-hour Fox Family television series Exploring the Unknown. Since April 2001, he has been a monthly columnist for Scientific American magazine with a column titled “Skeptic.”
You are welcome to join us when Dr. Shermer speaks at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox on Thursday, November 9, at 7 p.m. His lecture is free and open to the public.
