Window Dressing Creative Enterprise 2017 Application - Deadline August 13

Sunday, August 13, 2017

Are you a local maker, creator, artist, designer, crafter, entrepreneur, with a creative idea and/or business and are looking to take your passion to the next level?

Window Dressing, a program of Terrain, is now looking for its second round of Creative Enterprise participants. We are specifically looking for businesses that engage community, generate exciting neighborhood activity and help build Spokane’s *creative economy.

*Local makers, creators, artists, designers, entrepreneurs, crafters, etc. Businesses that sell things they make vs. re-selling mass produced goods. Small community groups and special projects that create unique cultural experiences will also be considered. Businesses with a proven track record, but no physical store -- say an Etsy Shop -- are well suited for this project.

HOW IT WORKS:

Chosen participants will be provided with professional development classes and peer-to-peer support designed specifically for creative entrepreneurs.

The 12-week course will start in late summer/early fall culminating in a full business plan that will be reviewed by a panel of experts.

After classes are complete, and subject to availability, Window Dressing will then work with property owners to provide viable participants with retail space, for up to *six months, to test their ideas with little risk.

*Leases are created on a month-to-month basis with the understanding that if the property manager finds a paying tenant, Window Dressing will vacate the space within 30 days.
