Tuesday, July 25, 2017

When?
Tuesday, July 25, 2017
5:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Led by Eastern Washington University
Formal Presentation at 6:00 PM
Doors Open at 5:30 to Review Displays

A formal presentation and workshop will start at 6:00 pm, including
sessions to identify engagement, placemaking, Children of the Sun
Trail design, NSC progress update and determine the best ways
to engage with each neighborhood and interest groups for the
remaining portion of the NSC Project.
The presentation will be an interactive session with presentations
by EWU Planning, City of Spokane and WSDOT to facilitate the “Kickoff”
of the engagement plan and participation in placemaking.
In creative placemaking, partners from public, private, non-profit,
and community sectors strategically shape the physical and social
character of a neighborhood, town, city, or region around arts
and cultural activities. Creative placemaking brings arts, culture,
and creativity into government and community-led planning and
community development efforts.
