Saturday, April 1, 2017

The Spokane Transit Authority said the first part of the transit sales-and-use tax increase that voters approved last fall will go into effect on April 1. The one-tenth of 1 percent increase is effective in Spokane County's transit service area, which includes most of the county, and will fund service expansion and a number of projects. Another one-tenth of 1 percent tax increase is scheduled to go into effect April 1, 2019.
