JEFFREY SAMSON NAMED NEW UD DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND GRANTS ADMINISTRATION

SPOKANE, Wash., March 25, 2025—The University District Development Association is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Samson has joined the organization as Director of Finance and Grants Administration.

Jeffrey brings over 20 years of experience in the financial management of public funds, grants, and contracts, working for various non-profit and government agencies in the Los Angeles and Spokane areas.

Jeffrey previously served as the Director of Finance at Thrive International and Deputy Chief of Finance and Administration at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, overseeing a $850 million-plus public funding and contracts budget.  

Katy Sheehan, University District board chair, says the board is thrilled to welcome Jeffrey to the organization. “Jeffrey brings considerable expertise to the University District, and his background will help us build a sustainable financial future to support the infrastructure and programming needed to enable smart urban growth, shared community wellness, and business and academic vibrancy in the District.”

Adds Juliet Sinisterra, CEO of the University District, “We were fortunate to have Jeffrey as a candidate for this important leadership role. His passion for the Spokane community and his financial and grants management experience are great assets as we grow the UD.”

Jeffrey holds a bachelor's degree in accountancy from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and believes in hard work, dedication, and being of service.
