University District Impact Award Application Deadline - March 31

BACKGROUND


The University District’s Impact Award recognizes individuals and/or organizations that have demonstrated excellence in leadership through deep local understanding and exceptional initiative. The award is designed to advance thoughtful, community-driven, innovative, and sustainable solutions to critical issues facing the University District. 

The inaugural Impact Award was presented to Dave and Mari Clack in October 2017 at Gonzaga University for their outstanding contributions and impact in the University District (see photo from left to right: Catherine Brazil, Dave and Mari Clack, Kim Pearman-Gillman). The second Impact Award was presented to Kim Pearman-Gillman at the University District Gateway Bridge opening celebration in May 2019 for her leadership and longstanding service to the UD Board. Dean Allen, CEO of McKinstry, was honored with the 2020 award for his decades-long commitment to Spokane; his singular vision and execution of the McKinstry Innovation Center, SIERR, Catalyst, and UW-GU Health Partnership Buildings; and his trailblazing community collaborations supporting education, energy, and the built environment.
