Washington State University’s Center for Innovation COVID-19 Innovation Challenge - submissions due Oct 23
Friday, October 23, 2020
Washington State University’s Center for Innovation is partnering with WSU’s Extension office in Stevens County, sp3nw and GIZMO in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to host the COVID-19 Innovation Challenge.
This event allows community members, entrepreneurs, and businesses to submit a business idea that might help address a COVID-19 hardship for the chance to win a robust prize package including $25,000 to be used for product development and access to a team of experts to help guide you through the process.
Ideas can address issues, including, but not limited to:
• Inhibiting the spread of infection (i.e. alternatives to or improved masks, hygiene products, social distancing processes, etc.)
• Overcoming supply chain disruptions (i.e. digital communications, alternative manufacturing processes, food production and effective use, etc.)
• Supporting tasks of daily living (i.e. alternatives or options to visits, education, shopping, medical care, etc.)
Time is ticking - Initial idea submissions will be accepted through Friday, Oct. 23 via the COVID-19 Innovation Challenge website.
Initial idea submissions are a high-level description of the idea which can then be further developed in preparation for submitting a full proposal.
Please share the attached flyer with your networks and invite all interested parties to participate by submitting their initial ideas today!
Thank you.
