Join Life Science Washington virtually on August 18th for the third annual East West Life Science Summit! Created to showcase life science innovation throughout Eastern Washington and stimulate regional collaboration, this year’s Summit is focused on innovation in rural healthcare.
The revolution in digital healthcare and telemedicine has been accelerated due to the Covid-19 pandemic and holds enormous promise for underserved rural communities lacking access to care. But it will take much more than technology to address the panoply of social, cultural, economic, educational and other barriers confronting diverse populations throughout rural Washington. Come hear from leading experts on these issues and learn how health care providers and innovators can collaborate with each other and with Washington’s tribes and other rural communities to improve their health and well-being.
This year’s Summit should be a must for scientists, engineers, health care providers and system developers busy creating and evaluating new technologies and processes to solve the complex healthcare problems of rural communities. The Summit will also explore the special training taking place in Eastern Washington’s educational institutions to prepare all levels of healthcare providers to serve diverse rural populations.
