Mayor announces street maintenance grant - August 28

Spokane’s streets are getting another infusion of money to improve their condition. Mayor David Condon will announce a new $5 million federal grant on Monday that will continue the progress on street maintenance delivered by the Fix-It-Fest program and add 14.5 lane miles of grind and overlay work over the next two years. The grant will cover five projects that will be in addition to work already planned to be completed by the Street Department in 2018 and 2019.
