CITIZENS INVITED TO OPEN HOUSE ABOUT PROJECT TO IMPROVE SPRAGUE AVE - OCT 24

Wednesday, October 24, 2018

The City of Spokane is designing the next section of East Sprague Avenue that will be rehabilitated, which is expected to start in 2019. The project will be located in the University District east of Division Street.

Citizens are invited to learn more about the project at a public open house:

  • Date: Wednesday, Oct. 24
  • Time: 5:30 to 7 p.m.
  • Location: Pride Prep Charter School at 811 E. Sprague Ave.

The meeting will include information on recommended project phasing, scheduling, and construction approach..

The project will include new pavement, a three-lane configuration, streetscape improvements, lighting, signals, water main replacement and stormwater work. Citizens and business and property owners were asked earlier this year to provide feedback on the project elements.

An adjacent grind and overlay project also is planned for 2019 between Scott and Helena streets, tying into the 2017 project that rehabilitated Sprague between Helen and Stone streets.
