Startup Spokane hosts conversation with SBA Department of Advocacy - July 10

Tuesday, July 10, 2018

Apollo Fuhriman, our regional advocate from the SBA Office of Advocacy will be in Spokane on Tuesday the 10th of July and has invited StartUp Spokane to host a roundtable to allow small business owners and entrepreneurs to share their ideas and concerns about federal regulation of small businesses. Apollo's role is to advocate for the elimination or streamlining of these regulations to aid the function and operation of small business. This is a drop in event, so stop by, grab a bagel and share your thoughts! RSVP encouraged but not required.

The President has made regulatory reform a center piece of his agenda and recently signed two executive orders addressing the regulatory burden faced by the private sector. Advocacy has a unique and important role to aid agency implementation of the Executive Orders. To assist in accomplishing the goals of the Executive Orders, we have developed a Regulatory Reform Action Plan and hope that you will help spread the word about our office to help those who could benefit from our assistance. We want to help small businesses (and small non-profits as well as small cities/counties [under 50,000 population]) formulate more workable regulations or provide regulatory relief, but we need to know which regulations need reform
