What exactly is Startup Weekend?
Startup Weekend is a global event, that takes place in over 150 countries! We're excited to have you at the Spokane Startup Weekend. The event starts with people pitching ideas in front of the crowd. The audience votes on the top pitches, and then teams are formed around them and the work begins to bring this idea to life in the next 54 hours! By the end of Sunday, final pitches are presented and judges vote on the winning teams, who will be awarded with a variety of great prizes!
If you have an interest in entrepreneurship, this is the event for you.
Do I have to come with an idea or skillset?
No! You just need to come with energy and a desire to have an unforgettable weekend working with a team and learning new skills and the process of developing a startup. We want ALL ages, skill sets and interests to participate.
Will there be experienced people on my team?
One of the best parts about Startup Weekend is that you're surrounded by coaches, mentors and others with experience. You won't be left behind!
What is the cost to participate?
$40 for the entire weekend, including all meals and snacks! You can't beat that price!
