City seeks poet laureate candidates - deadline Sept 30

On behalf of the city of Spokane, Spokane Arts is accepting applications for the position of Spokane poet laureate. The person selected will promote and support an appreciation of literary arts throughout the greater Spokane region. The poet laureate will serve a two-year term beginning Nov. 1, 2017 and will received a $3,000 stipend, which will be delivered in two payments. The application deadline is Saturday, Sept. 30.
