Please join us for the Summer Network Edge Business & Tech Forum at 8:30am on Wednesday, June 7th at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane. This event is free and a complimentary breakfast will be served.

Summer Forum Topic: The Internet of Things (IoT) and how organizations can best leverage and secure the IoT

Keynote Speaker: Jesse Berst, Chairman, Smart Cities Council

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the latest buzzword in the tech world and it’s gaining serious momentum in the investor community.

In case you are not familiar with the term, IoT is the process of adding an electronic signal, usually a sensor, to a device (or a thing) enabling them to gather, transmit, and/or exchange data. Examples include smartphones, vehicles, appliances, thermostats, buildings, wearables, and many others.

Estimates vary, but many analysts believe that by 2020 global spending on IoT could reach $1.29 trillion. Unlike other tech trends that disappear or fizzle out, IoT is showing real potential and value in various industries including industrial, transportation, municipalities, healthcare, education, retail and manufacturing.

We will discuss what all the hype is about and how organizations can leverage and plan for IoT. If your organization implements an IoT strategy, how can you ensure it is secure?

Who should attend?

Business owners and executives, marketing professionals, education administrators, healthcare professionals, business development professionals, HR representatives and IT professionals
