University District Community Open House September 6

You are invited to participate in a community visioning open house to help shape urban designs at the confluence of innovation, discovery, entrepreneurship, scholarship and neighborhood engagement.

Since the completion of the original University District Strategic Master Plan in 2004, many significant new developments have taken place. The future University District Gateway Bridge, as well as the City’s investment in Martin Luther King Way and the East Sprague upgrades, expand the opportunities for ongoing planning and collaboration with the public.

At the September 6th open house event, a gallery of design boards will be displayed to stimulate conversation and representatives of The University District will... be available to discuss current approaches to redevelopment and listen to your thoughts and suggestions.

Feedback gathered at this open house will be incorporated into input provided in a recent series of stakeholder listening sessions. These ideas will be synthesized into a collective vision of what is possible and revealed at the 2016 University District Magazine release party this October during University District month.

Whether you are available to attend the open house or not, you are invited to provide feedback on design boards presented via this online open house gallery and survey.

Transportation to Stay Alfred (123 E Sprague): Street and on-site parking for personal vehicles is limited so taking alternative transit is encouraged if possible. The Sprague Bus #90 departs the Plaza every 15 minutes and biking to the event eastbound on Sprague or northbound via the Sherman Avenue bike lane is recommended. Interior bike parking is available on-site.
