Resource Highlight: SNAP Women's Business Center

Wednesday, March 22, 2017

For 50 years, SNAP (Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners) has been the leading local and regional advocate for the most vulnerable individuals living in our community.

As a part of SNAP, the Women's Business Center (WBC) exists to increase the entrepreneurial capacities of socially and economically diverse women, minorities, and veterans - both men and women are welcome.

The WBC seeks to strengthen the community through the creation of sustainable new businesses, new jobs, and the promotion of financial self-sufficiency. To achieve these goals, the WBC provides a number of resources for business owners in any phase of development, including:

  • Training/classes/workshops tailored to help small businesses be successful
  • One-on-one business assistance and coaching
  • Networking events, affinity groups, and annual conferences
  • Resources for finding financing for small businesses

The WBC hosts an orientation on a weekly basis at their location in the East Central Community Center (500 S. Stone) that explains the various resources they offer. One-on-one business counseling and additional classes are only available after completing the orientation.
