Women Helping Women Fund Announces New Executive Director

October 23, 2018, Spokane, Wash. – Women Helping Women Fund’s Board of Directors has announced the hiring of its new Executive Director, Heather Hamlin.  Heather succeeds previous Executive Director Rachel Houglum who served in the role for three years.

 “We are thrilled to bring Heather in to serve as Women Helping Women Fund’s Executive Director” says Traci McGlathery, Board President.  “Heather’s non-profit and strategic planning experience will be a tremendous asset as we continue to support local women and children.”

Heather brings a wealth of experience to the organization, most recently working as the Director of AgriBusiness and Spokane Ag Expo at Greater Spokane Incorporated (GSI).  As WHWF moves into its 27th year, Heather’s skills and vision will guide the organization as they expand their impact throughout the community.

About her new position Heather shares, “I stand with the WHWF board in its commitment to empowering women and children to create healthy families and vibrant communities.”  Heather starts in her new role on October 23, 2018.

Heather holds a degree in Business Administration and Finance from Western Washington University.

Women Helping Women Fund was established in 1992 to raise the level of awareness about the plight of women & children living in poverty in our community. The non-profit believes that empowering women & children builds healthy families & vibrant communities. The organization is committed to helping women & children by raising money to assist programs that are making a difference in the lives of those in need. A volunteer board of directors & executive director guides the direction & operations of the organization.
